Novembre 2025, des travaux de restauration de Borj El Ghazi Mustapha (Houmt Souk -Djerba) ont commencé. La restauration concerne principalement la façade nord, qui borde le littoral, la façade principale, ainsi que d’autres points présentant un danger pour les visiteurs. Le mortier de chaux est actuellement en cours de fermentation dans un bassin construit à cet effet selon les méthodes traditionnelles en vigueur. Cette opération de restauration s’inscrit dans le cadre d’un budget de 20000 dinars accordée par l’Institut national du patrimoine à cette fin et ce dernier a été transféré au Conseil régional.

انطلقت أشغال ترميم برج الغازي مصطفى (حومة السوق جربة) التي ستشمل تعهد الواجهة الشمالية المحاذية للشريط الساحلي والواجهة الرئيسية للبرج فوق المدخل الرئيسي بالإضافة إلى تدخلات أخرى تتعلق بالنقاط التي تمثل خطرا على الزوار. ويتم حاليا تخمير الملاط الجيري داخل حوض بني للغرض وفق الأساليب التقليدية المعمول بها. وتندرج عملية الترميم هذه ضمن اعتماد خصصه المعهد الوطني للتراث للغرض يقدر بعشرين ألف دينار وقع تحويله إلى المجلس الجهوي.

In November 2025, restoration work began on Borj El Ghazi Mustapha (Houmt Souk – Djerba). The restoration mainly concerns the north façade, which borders the coastline, the main façade, and other areas that pose a danger to visitors. Lime mortar is currently fermenting in a basin built for this purpose using traditional methods. This restoration project is part of a 20,000 dinars budget allocated by the National Heritage Institute for this purpose, which has been transferred to the Regional Council.
