Dans le cadre de la coopération tuniso-italienne entre l’Institut National du Patrimoine et le Parco Archeologico del Colosseo à Rome, un projet de restauration des mosaïques des demeures romaines d’El Jem (Thysdrus) a été initié en 2025. Celui-ci a impliqué une première intervention en avril et une seconde du 09 juin au 04 juillet 2025. Dans le cadre de ce projet, l’INP an obtenu un don de la partie italienne comprenant de produits et d’équipements liés à la restauration.
En avril 2025, la mission a débuté avec la phase initiale de relevé par scanner laser 3D pour effectuer le levé topographique et le géo-référencement de toute la zone archéologique concernée. Ce processus vise à constituer une base documentaire efficace pour les projets de restauration, ainsi que pour la création des modèles 3D et leur reconstitution utile dans un objectif de valorisation et promotion du site.
En juin 2025, le Parco archeologico del Colosseo et l’Institut National du Patrimoine ont lancé la seconde phase des travaux de restauration des mosaïques des Domus romaines de Thysdrus, en confiant cette tâche à C.S.R. Restauri di Riccardo Mancinelli, expert en restauration de mosaïques, avec l’assistance et la collaboration de conservateurs et restaurateurs du site archéologique d’El Jem. Au cours de cette étape, les actions entreprises ont conduit à la documentation et la restauration des mosaïques de trois maisons romaines sur le site archéologique d’El Jem : la domus Sollertiana, la maison du paon et la maison des dauphins.

في إطار التعاون التونسي الإيطالي بين المعهد الوطني للتراث والمنتزه الأثري لكوليزي روما، انطلق خلال سنة 2025 مشروع ترميم فسيفساء المساكن الرومانية بالجم (تيسدروس). وتضمن هذا المشروع تدخلاً أولياً خلال شهر أفريل وآخر من 09 جوان إلى 04 جويلية 2025 بالإضافة على الحصول على هبة من الجانب الإيطالي تتضمن مواد ومعدات متعلقة بترميم الفسيفساء.
خلال شهر أفريل 2025، بدأت المهمة بالمرحلة الأولى من المسح ثلاثي الأبعاد لإجراء رفوعات طبوغرافية وتحديد مناطق التدخل. تهدف هذه العملية إلى توفير قاعدة معلومات فعالة لمشاريع الترميم، بالإضافة إلى إنشاء نماذج ثلاثية الأبعاد وإعادة بنائها بشكل مفيد بغرض تعزيز الموقع والترويج له. في شهر جوان 2025، أطلقت المرحلة الثانية من أعمال الترميم على فسيفساء المنازل الرومانية، وأوكلت هذه المهمة لفريق إيطالي مختص في ترميم الفسيفساء وذلك بمساعدة والتعاون مع محافظين ومرمّمين من موقع الجم الأثري. خلال هذه المرحلة، تم توثيق وترميم فسيفساء ثلاثة منازل رومانية وهي دوموس سوليرتيانا، ومنزل الطاووس، ومنزل الدلافين.

As part of Tunisian-Italian cooperation between the Institut National du Patrimoine and the Parco Archeologico del Colosseo in Rome, a project to restore the mosaics in the Roman dwellings of El Jem (Thysdrus) was launched in 2025. This involved an initial operation in April and a second from 09 June to 04 July 2025. As part of this project, the INP obtained a donation from the Italian side, comprising restoration products and equipment.
In April 2025, the mission began with the initial phase of surveying using a 3D laser scanner to carry out the topographical survey and geo-referencing of the entire archaeological area concerned. The aim of this process is to build up an effective documentary base for restoration projects, as well as for the creation of 3D models and their useful reconstruction with a view to enhancing and promoting the site.
In June 2025, the Parco archeologico del Colosseo and the Instituto Nazionale del Patrimonio launched the second phase of restoration work on the mosaics of the Roman Domus of Thysdrus, entrusting this task to C.S.R. Restauri di Riccardo Mancinelli, experts in mosaic restoration, with the assistance and collaboration of conservators and restorers from the archaeological site of El Jem. During this phase, the work undertaken led to the documentation and restoration of the mosaics in three Roman houses on the El Jem archaeological site: the domus Sollertiana, the peacock house and the dolphin house.
