The maritime search brigade of the Sfax National Guard successfully seized 5,196 authentic Roman bronze coins, as well as a small vial and part of an authentic plate dating from the 1st century AD, in addition to a pottery plate dating from the 2nd century AD.

While thanking the security services for this brilliant success, the National Heritage Institute states that its services will proceed with the study, documentation and promotion of this archaeological treasure.
