Gar al-Melh fortifications on the final list of heritage sites in the Islamic world
At its thirteenth meeting in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, the Islamic World Heritage Commission agreed to include the ‘fortifications of the city of Gar-e-Melh’, represented by three towers dating from the 17th century, on the definitive list of heritage sites in the Islamic world.
