As part of the archaeological cooperation agreement between the National Heritage Institute and the National Archaeological Centre of China, between 21 November 2024 and 20 January 2025, a team from the two countries carried out archaeological excavations at the Ben Arous archaeological site. The excavations uncovered parts of a house and a bath dating from the Roman era. The research team has also begun studying the remains of pottery and organised an open day for students.
